CineStill 800Tungsten (800T) – ISO 800 Colour Negative Film – 35mm Film, 36 Exposures
High-Speed | Tungsten-Balanced | 35mm Film
CineStill 800Tungsten (800T) is a high-speed, tungsten-balanced colour negative film specially engineered for still photographers who want to capture cinematic scenes in low-light and mixed-light conditions. Derived from Kodak motion picture film stock and optimised for C-41 processing, 800T is renowned for its distinctive halation glow and unparalleled performance in tungsten-lit environments.
This unique film gives photographers access to motion-picture aesthetics using standard photo lab workflows.
Key Features:
■ ISO 800 tungsten-balanced colour negative film
■ Designed for low-light and artificial tungsten lighting conditions
■ Motion picture film adapted for still photography (no remjet backing)
■ Safe for standard C-41 photo lab processing or home Cs41 kits
■ Can also be processed using ECN-2 or CineStill Cs2 simplified motion picture chemistry
■ Push-processable up to 3200 ISO
■ Produces subtle halation effects in strong highlights
■ Optimised for scanning; suitable for hybrid workflows
Recommended Exposure for Push Processing:
■ No Push – EI 200–1000
■ +1 Stop Push – EI 800–2000
■ +2 Stop Push – EI 1250–3200
■ +3 Stop Push – EI 1600–3200 (increased contrast)
Shelf Life & Expiration:
Thanks to CineStill’s improved manufacturing process, 800T now has an extended shelf life and significantly reduced risk of age-related artifacts. However, for best results:
■ Store unexposed rolls in a refrigerator (13°C or below)
■ Use within 6 months of purchase
■ Process exposed rolls promptly in C-41 chemistry
■ All boxed rolls include an expiration date — typically two years from the date of manufacture
Additional Notes:
This film is based on Kodak’s motion picture stock and originally required ECN-2 processing. However, it has been reformulated without the remjet layer, making it compatible with C-41 chemistry while producing cinematic tones and contrast suitable for scanning and optical printing on RA-4 paper.
While long-term archival stability of CineStill 800T is estimated to be between that of Kodachrome and typical C-41 films, CineStill guarantees replacement of any roll with manufacturing defects. No other liabilities are assumed beyond this replacement.
Capture cinematic brilliance even in the most challenging lighting. CineStill 800T (135-36) is your go-to film for nightscapes, neon-lit portraits, urban scenes, and beyond.
