About Film Foto Store

Who are you?

We are a small team of passionate photographers, events which led to an establishment of a lab in the heart of Bangalore, out of necessity and lack of facilities back in the year 1970. We want everyone to enjoy photography as an art and/or science and we strive to cater to every photo lovers' needs.

Why an online store?

We have been and will always cater to film photographers. With the primary interest to promote film photography and to make products available to our fellow photographers, we’re constantly upgrading, to help serve better. With the growing varieties of analogue photographic products, an online store is the best platform to showcase them.

Do you have a retail store?

Yes, we are located in the heart of Bangalore city (Karnataka, India). Please find our store location and directions on the contact us We’re open Monday – Friday: 11:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Some products are expensive!

We understand that some products might be priced at a slightly higher price in comparison to XYZ stores worldwide. However, our margins are very low, there are numerous taxes/charges like Customs duty, GST, Shipping charges etc… that eventually determine the final sale price. Rest assured we’re constantly exploring options to provide products at a very competitive price; however, it may not always be feasible. Our intention is to make most products widely available in India.

Is your website secure?

We have taken measures to ensure that your information is secure. Our online store is implemented with relevant security technologies to enable a great shopping experience.

Do you provide any warranty for the products?

We stock only genuine supplies, most of the products are also tried and tested by us, you can be sure that you will receive only the best. As always, all the products are subject to their manufacturer’s terms and conditions.

How do I reset my account’s password?

Please click on the “Reset password” option below the login page and follow the instructions to generate a new password.

Do I need to pay to create an account on Film Foto Store?

No, it’s free.

Is it mandatory to register for an account on your website?

While it’s not necessary to create an account, you can always checkout as a guest. However, you may lose out on many benefits like tracking your orders, managing multiple addresses, offers and promotions.

Can I ship to a temporary address in India?

Yes, you can. Please update the complete address with alternative contact numbers of the temporary address as the shipping address during checkout; also ensure that you have informed the recipients of the expected order in advance. Especially applicable to our film photographers who are travelling.

Payment

What are my payment options?

We have partnered with Razorpay as our payment gateway to process our online payments. They accept most widely used Credit cards, Debit cards, Netbanking and Payment Wallets.

Alternatively, you can use the “Online bank transfer”  or "UPI QR code" option to pay the invoice amount directly to our bank account, details of both can be found during checkout.

Is it secure to pay through Razorpay?

Razorpay is compliant with leading industry standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS and SOC2 making it the most secure payment gateways in the world. 

What currency do you accept?

We only accept Indian Rupees (INR - ₹) as the currency for transactions at our store

I’m unable to complete my payment?

Please wait or the payment to process initially, in case it fails, please try again later. If you are still unable to make payment due to various reasons, please capture the error message and write to us before making multiple payment attempts.

Orders & Shipment

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

We process orders within 1-3 business days upon payment confirmation with the exception to film processing orders which can take upto 15 business days from the date of receipt of films.

The standard delivery times for shipped orders are:

BlueDart Express: 3-5 business days | Indian Speed Post: 5-7 business days
Note: Weekends and general holidays will affect delivery time.

How do I track my order?

Once the order is dispatched, you will be able to track using the tracking reference number sent via email note to your registered email address.

I’ve still not received my order?

If you haven’t received your order and it has passed over 15 business days since it was dispatched, please contact us and we’ll look into it at the earliest.

How do I send my rolls for film processing?

We request our customers to wrap the exposed films in a dark bag along with the original film case and wrap it with sufficient packing material, so as to minimize any risk of physical damage and exposure to heat and light.

How will I get the images of the scanned negatives?

Once the films are developed and digitized (scanned), you will receive a WeTransfer link to download the digital images to your registered email address.

Will my images be stored permanently?

Unfortunately we are unable to store digital images of your negatives over 14 days period. Please do not consider it as a backup storage and kindly download the images at the earliest. We are not responsible for images not downloaded within 14 days, as they will be automatically deleted from the server.

Do you ship Internationally?

We only ship orders within India. If you are located outside India and would like to place orders, please contact us to know if shipment can be arranged.

Transit time for international shipments vary from 3-4 weeks on an average.

Please note we are not responsible for any customs charges / duties levied in your country on receipt of the order or any additional charges incurred.

How do I return/ exchange a product?

You can request for a return or exchange, as long as it meets the requirements outlined in our Shipping and Returns

Shipping & Returns policy

Shipping

Your order will be delivered to the address you indicated when your order was placed. The products bought on Film Foto Store will be delivered to one address within India.  The only exception for shipping would be for Film processing vouchers/ offline services, in which case you would receive the details to your registered email address.

We base shipping charges off the weight, size and the delivery location.

Orders are shipped either through BlueDart Express or registered Indian Speed Post. Orders are dispatched within 1 to 3 business days upon confirmation.

Transit times can vary from 5-7 business days based on the carrier.

We offer the convenience of pick up at store option during checkout for customers residing in Bangalore.

International Shipping

We only ship orders within India. If you are located outside India and would like to place orders, please email us to know if shipment can be arranged.

Transit time for international shipments vary from 3-4 weeks on an average.

Please note we are not responsible for any customs charges / duties levied in your country on receipt of the order or any additional charges incurred.

Delivery

Film Foto Store does everything in its power to respect the delivery times indicated on the website. We cannot, however, be held responsible for the consequences of a late delivery or the loss of a package caused by a third-party contracted to make delivery, or by you, or because of some unforeseen event or an Act of God. In the event where you do not receive your package, an investigation will be conducted with the carrier and may take several days upon receipt of your claim. During this period of investigation, no reimbursement or re-delivery will take place.

Returns

Film Foto Store allows you 15 days to return a product that you are not 100% satisfied with. Your right of return starts from the moment your order is delivered. You can return the product to us within this time frame with the invoice.

We request that you send us the product by registered post and that you purchase insurance with your carrier for the value of the product. This is necessary should they lose or damage the goods. Shipping charges remain the customer’s responsibility.

The present right of return only applies to products that are returned in their original, unopened, complete condition. Any product that has been damaged, is not in its original packaging, or has been opened, will not be refunded. The deadlines mentioned above are effective from the date of receipt of the order.

Exchange

We want you to be satisfied with the products you purchase at Film Foto Store. You may send the product within 15 days from the date of receipt to be eligible for an exchange, provided the products that are returned are in their original, unopened, complete condition. Any product that has been damaged, is not in its original packaging, or has been opened, will not be eligible for exchange request.

Exchange returns will only be considered on receipt of the actual product.

Shipping charges for the return of the original product and the exchanged product remain customer’s responsibility.

Cancellation

You can cancel your order at any time before your order has been processed by us and shipped from our store.

If your order has already been processed and shipped, you will only be able to request an exchange for the product, subject to the terms mentioned in exchange request. 

Refunds

Payment refund for approved returns/cancelled orders are usually completed within 10 - 15 business days.

Refunds will be issued based on your original form of payment.

Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions

The general Terms and Conditions of sale detailed below govern the contractual relationship between the ‘User’ (hereafter also referred to as ‘You’ or the ‘Customer’) and ‘Film Foto Store’ (hereafter also referred to as ‘We’ or the ‘Website’), belonging to the concern Film Foto Store. Both parties accept these conditions unreservedly. These general conditions of sale are the only conditions that are applicable and replace all other conditions, except in the case of express. written, prior dispensation. We maintain that, by confirming your order, you have read and do unreservedly accept our general conditions of sale. These terms and conditions of sale are important to you and Film Foto Store as they are used to protect your rights as a valued customer and our rights as a business.

Changes to the Terms of Service and the website

Film Foto Store is a work in progress, and as such things may change, be added or be taken away. We reserve the right to update the website and these Terms and Conditions from time to time, at our discretion and without any notice. It is solely your responsibility to keep up-to-date with the latest Terms and Conditions by checking back regularly. Your continued use of the website following the publishing of updated Terms and Conditions be taken to mean that you have read and agree to the changes.

Access to the website

We work hard to ensure the website is always up and available, but we can't guarantee that the website will not have downtime for any reason. We reserve the right to close the website for short periods of time for general maintenance, but will attempt to keep this to a minimum. We will not be liable if for any reason all or any part of the website is unavailable at any time, for any length of time.

Parts of the website require you to input a password to access certain features. This is to be able to give you details relevant to your order whilst still keeping them private to you. To do this, as part of our security procedures, we require you to register an account with Film Foto Store by entering your email and choosing a secure password. We highly recommend that you choose a strong password that is hard for others to guess, and you log out from your account at the end of every session. There is a password reset procedure in case you forget your password. You must treat your account log-in information as confidential, not disclosing it to any third party and only using Film Foto Store in person. If you think there may have been any breach of security then it is your responsibility to notify us immediately and if log-in is possible, to change your password.

It is a condition of your use of the website that all the information you provide on the website is correct, current and complete. We reserve the right to disable any user account in our sole discretion, at any time for any or no reason, including if, in our opinion, you have failed to comply with any provision of these Terms of Service.

We do not guarantee that the website or any content provided on the website is error free. We manage your personal data according to our Privacy Policy.

Product information

Film Foto Store takes great care when putting product information, descriptions and images online but will not be held responsible for any mistakes or omissions to any information given.

Prices

The prices indicated on Film Foto Store are shown in Indian Rupees (₹). The delivery costs are clearly shown and invoiced at the end of the order in addition to the price of the products. We reserve the right to modify our prices at any moment but this will be indicated to you on the order at the time the order is placed. If an obviously incorrect price appears on our website and is not corrected on your total at the time of order completion, for whatever reason (human error, technical error etc.), your order will be cancelled and the payment refunded to you, even if it has been initially validated.

Availability

We will always endeavour to fulfil your order once completed and paid for. If a product should become unavailable after your order has been confirmed and paid for, we will refund the price you paid for the product within 15 working days following the date of payment. If your order includes products that are temporarily unavailable, we will send the available products out first and will follow with the outstanding items once they are available again. If relevant, we will offer you a replacement for an unavailable product, a product of equal price and quality. If you accept the replacement, and then wish to return it to us in the conditions outlined under Shipping and Returns policy, the return postage will be covered by us. If you choose to decline this offer, and the original product is permanently unavailable, we will reimburse the price of the unavailable product.

Secure payment

Film Foto Store currently offers Razorpay as a payment gateway to accept funds online. The payment option uses advanced SSL encryption to keep your transaction secure and do not cost you anything to use (Film Foto Store is charged as the seller, you are not charged as the buyer) so you will not pay any extra for your order. You do not need to hold an account with these Merchants to use these methods of payments. Please refer to Razorpay for full terms and conditions of use. Alternatively, you can transfer funds directly to our bank account via online bank transfer option during checkout and notify us by email once done.

Privacy and protection of personal data

The details you give us are essential for the processing and delivery of your orders, for billing and for the establishment of warranty contracts, therefore failure to provide these details will result in the cancellation of your order. By registering on the Site, you agree to provide us with sincere and true information as it concerns you. Communicating false information is contrary to the present general Terms and Conditions.

You can at any time make a request to Film Foto Store to find out what personal information we hold concerning you. You may at any time, and by request, modify this information.

Film Foto Store uses “cookies” to store personal data on your computer. Cookies record certain information stored on your hard drive. This information enables us to generate statistics based on data from visitors to our site and suggest products that might interest you according to the items that you selected when you previously visited the site. Cookies do not contain any confidential information about you.

Intellectual ownership

All the content on Film Foto Store website (illustrations, texts, names, brand names, images and videos) is the property of Film Foto Store. Any partial or total reproduction of this content, by any means and on any support, is subject to prior and express authorisation by Film Foto Store. All information, content and files is protected by International law concerning intellectual ownership and copyright. Film Foto Store cannot give you the right to copy, display or distribute content that you do not have the intellectual rights to. All fraudulent use of this content that violates the rights held by a third party constitutes an offence of forgery, which is severely punished under the Intellectual Property Code.

Film Foto Store will not, under any circumstances, be held responsible if a user violates rights held by a third party through his activities on the site.

Waiver and Severability

Any failure of Film Foto Store to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. The Terms and Conditions constitutes the entire agreement between you and Film Foto Store, and governs your use of the service, superseding any prior agreements (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Service). If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent such that the remaining provisions of the Terms of Service will continue in full force and effect.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, neither Film Foto Store nor any of their owners, employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, distributors or partners shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business, loss of profits or loss of data), under any contract, negligence, strict liability or other theory arising out of or relating in any way to the provision of products or services. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with services is to stop using the services, and your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with products is to obtain a refund therefore in accordance with these terms. To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, the maximum liability of Film Foto Store arising out or in connection with the provision of or failure to provide any products or services shall be the actual price paid therefore by you.

Jurisdictional Issues

Film Foto Store is controlled and operated from Bangalore, India. Our site is not subject to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country or territory other than that of India. Film Foto Store does not represent or warrant that any of its site, products, and/or services or any part thereof is appropriate or available for use in any particular jurisdiction. Those who choose to access Film Foto Store do so on their own initiative and at their own risk. We may limit Film Foto Store‟s availability, in whole or in part, to any person, geographic area or jurisdiction we choose, at any time and in our sole discretion.

Termination

Either you or Film Foto Store may terminate your access to the site and to your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without prior notice. Upon termination for any reason, your right to access and/or use the site will immediately cease. Upon termination, Film Foto Store may delete all information, files and materials related to your account, including any user submitted materials, and you agree that Film Foto Store shall have no liability whatsoever to you or any third party as a result of a termination of your rights of access to your account and/or the deletion of any information, files or materials related to your account. Feedback & Comments

Any opinions left on the website by Film Foto Store's customers are screened and moderated by Film Foto Store . If the comments infringe on the law or are inappropriate (abusive publicity, defamation, insults, out of context commentary…), Film Foto Store reserves the right to refuse or modify it.

We don't share your personal information with third parties. Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to help us improve the Film Foto Store website and service. We currently use Google Analytics (traffic analysis, SEO optimization) and Mailchimp (mailing list management). We listed below what data these third parties extract exactly. • 2. Mailchimp: name and email of our beta subscription list

We employ and contract with people and other entities that perform certain tasks on our behalf and who are under our control (our “Agents”).
